§ 4103 Conduit Water Flow Measurement

Key Takeaways

  • •If you own a pipe or canal that carries water, you might have to put in special tools to measure how much water is being used.
  • •The government can tell you where to put these tools and what kind to use.
  • •These tools help the government check that water is being used the right way and not wasted.

Example

A farmer has a big canal that takes water from a river to water his crops.

The government might tell the farmer to put a water meter in his canal to measure how much water he is using. This helps make sure the farmer isn't taking too much water and is using it for his crops, not wasting it.
