§ 101125 Board Meeting Requirements

• •The board must set the time and place of its regular meetings by a formal resolution or ordinance.
• •All board meetings must follow the Ralph M. Brown Act’s open‑meeting requirements.
• •The schedule and location must be clear and public so people know when and where to attend.

The town’s planning board decides to meet every second Thursday at 6 p.m. in the town hall.

Because of this law, the board has to set that schedule by an official resolution and then hold each meeting following the Brown Act, which means giving the public notice, letting anyone attend, and keeping the meeting open.
