§ 41302 Antelope Valley District Transition

Key Takeaways

  • •The Antelope Valley district started working on January 1, 2002.
  • •On that day, it took over all the jobs and responsibilities of the old Antelope Valley Air Pollution Control District.
  • •The old district stopped existing on January 1, 2002.

Example

Imagine your school's old principal retires, and a new principal takes over on a specific date.

Just like the new principal starts their job and takes over all the old principal's duties, the Antelope Valley district started its job and took over all the old district's duties on January 1, 2002. The old district, like the old principal, is no longer in charge.
