§ 41300 Antelope Valley Air District

Key Takeaways

  • •The Antelope Valley area in northern Los Angeles County is not part of the South Coast air district.
  • •It has its own special air quality district called the Antelope Valley Air Quality Management District.
  • •The boundaries of this district are: San Bernardino County to the east, Kern County to the north, the San Gabriel Mountains to the south, and the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the west.

Example

If you live in Palmdale or Lancaster, your air quality rules are different from places like Los Angeles or Long Beach.

Because Palmdale and Lancaster are in the Antelope Valley, they follow the rules of the Antelope Valley Air Quality Management District, not the South Coast air district.
