§ 111740 Cosmetic Labeling Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •Cosmetics must have a label with the name and address of who made or sold it.
  • •The label must show how much is inside (like weight or number of items).
  • •Small packages might not need all this info, but rules decide that.

Example

You buy a bottle of shampoo at the store.

The bottle must have a label saying who made it and how much shampoo is inside. If it doesn’t, it’s breaking the rules.
