§ 110885 Natural Labeling Exemption

Key Takeaways

  • •The word 'natural' on a product label or ad is not controlled by this law.
  • •Companies can use 'natural' freely without following these rules.
  • •This law doesn’t say what 'natural' means—it just ignores the word.

Example

A juice bottle says '100% natural orange juice' on the label.

This law doesn’t care if the juice is really natural or not. The company can say 'natural' without proving it.
