§ 107010 Radiologic Technologist Certification Acceptance

• •The department can accept certificates from other agencies.
• •The other agency's exam must be based on qualifications and be reasonably similar to the department's standards.
• •This applies specifically to radiologic technologists.

A radiologic technologist passes a national certification exam and gets a certificate. The state health department can accept that certificate instead of making the technologist take the state's own test.

Because the national exam is judged to be about the same level as the state's exam, the department can say the technologist is qualified without retesting.
