§ 38441 Park Land Exchange Rules

• •The government can swap a small piece of park land for another piece of land nearby.
• •The new land must be at least the same size or value as the piece they're giving up.
• •They have to tell the public and hold a meeting about it first.
• •They must decide the swap is good for everyone before doing it.

A small playground in a park is old and not used much. There’s an empty lot next to the park that’s bigger and nicer.

The city can trade the old playground for the empty lot, but they have to tell everyone and make sure it’s a good deal for the park. They can’t just do it secretly.
