§ 32325 Salary Payment Discharge Rules

• •When you get paid, the money you receive (after taking out contributions) means your boss has fully paid you for your work.
• •You can't ask for more money for the same work after you've been paid, except for the benefits mentioned in this law.
• •This rule has been around since 1947.

You work at a store and get your paycheck every two weeks. Your boss takes out some money for things like taxes or retirement.

Once you get that paycheck, your boss has fully paid you for those two weeks of work. You can't later say your boss owes you more money for that same time, unless it's about special benefits like health insurance.
