§ 22502 Board Agreement Exemptions

Key Takeaways

  • •Some special deals made by the board don’t need extra approval from other state people.
  • •This includes deals with groups like the Teachers’ Retirement Board or public agencies (but not the whole state).
  • •Even if a rule says these deals need a sign-off, this law says they don’t.

Example

The board makes a deal with a local school district to help with teacher pensions.

Normally, the state might say this deal needs another boss to sign off on it. But this law says no—it’s good to go without extra approval.
