§ 17002 Warrant Payment Location Designation

• •The Controller must let the Treasurer choose where a warrant (like a check from the state) can be paid.
• •The Treasurer can pick either their office or a bank where the state keeps money.

The state owes someone money and writes them a check.

The Treasurer can decide if the person gets the money at the Treasurer’s office or at a bank where the state has an account.
