§ 17007 Fund Designation On Warrants

Key Takeaways

  • •The Controller can label money with names, numbers, or letters to keep track of it.
  • •These labels can be used on payment orders and in reports shared with the Treasurer.
  • •This helps make sure money is used correctly and everyone knows where it goes.

Example

The government needs to pay for new school books.

The Controller might label the money for the books with a special code, like 'SB2024', so it's clear this money is only for school books and not for anything else.
