§ 1304 Legislative Alternates Natural Resources

Key Takeaways

  • •If a lawmaker can't go to a meeting for a state board or commission about nature stuff, someone else can go instead.
  • •The person filling in can do almost everything the lawmaker can, except vote.
  • •The fill-in person has to follow the same rules as the lawmaker and can only serve while the lawmaker is supposed to be there.

Example

A lawmaker is sick and can't go to a meeting about state parks.

Another person can go to the meeting instead, talk and help make decisions, but they can't vote on anything.
