§ 11153 Division Chief Appointment

Except as otherwise provided by law, each division of a department shall be in charge of a chief who shall be appointed by the head of the department and receive such compensation as is fixed according to law. When a new division is created and a new chief appointed the salary of the chief shall be fixed by the Governor until fixed by the Legislature and shall not exceed the compensation paid for like services. (Added by Stats. 1945, Ch. 111.)
