§ 10209 Legislative Counsel Research Access

• •The State Library must share its books and materials with the bureau.
• •The University of California and all state agencies must help the Legislative Counsel with research by giving them access to records and information.
• •People working for the state must also help the Legislative Counsel if they need information for their research.

If the Legislative Counsel needs old laws or records to write a new law, they can ask the State Library or any state agency for help.

The State Library must give them the books they need, and state workers must share any records or information they have.
