§ 595 Commissioner Possession Of Licensee

Key Takeaways

  • •If the boss of a company gets in trouble, the government can take over the whole company, not just the main office.
  • •The government takes everything—the main office and all other parts of the business.
  • •This happens when the government steps in to control the company’s stuff and work.

Example

Imagine a big bank has a main office in Los Angeles and smaller branches all over California. If the bank does something really bad, like breaking big money rules, the government can take over not just the main office in Los Angeles but also all the smaller branches and everything the bank owns.

The law says that when the government takes control of the main office, it automatically means they take control of the entire company, including all its money, buildings, and other offices.
