§ 50509 Misuse Of Licensee Funds

Key Takeaways

  • •If you work for a company and steal or misuse its money or stuff, you're breaking the law.
  • •If you get caught and convicted, you have to pay back everything you took.
  • •This law doesn't replace other punishments for stealing—it adds to them.

Example

A bank employee takes money from customer accounts and uses it for personal shopping.

The employee broke the law by stealing money from the bank. If convicted, they must pay back all the money they stole, plus face other punishments like jail time.
