§ 5002 Agricultural Appliance Definition

Key Takeaways

  • •An 'appliance' is anything used to grow, pick, move, or carry farm stuff like fruits, veggies, or grains.
  • •This includes things like boxes, ladders, trucks, or even tents if they help with farming.
  • •It’s not just machines—simple tools or containers count too if they’re used for farming.

Example

A farmer uses a big plastic bin to carry apples from the tree to his truck.

That bin is an 'appliance' because it helps move the apples, which are farm stuff.
