§ 25024 Poultry Meat Sales Exemption

• •This law is about selling chicken or turkey meat.
• •If you raise chickens or turkeys, kill them, clean them, and sell the meat all on your own farm, this law doesn’t apply to you.
• •But this only works if you sell ALL the meat directly to people (not to stores or other sellers).
• •If you sell even some of your meat to stores or other sellers, this rule doesn’t apply.

A farmer raises chickens on their land, kills and cleans them, and sells the meat at a little stand on their farm to neighbors.

This farmer doesn’t have to follow the rules in this law because they sell all their chicken meat directly to people from their own farm.
