§ 12023 Pest Adviser License Discipline

This law lets the director refuse, cancel, or pause a pest‑control adviser’s license if they break certain rules.

Key Takeaways

  • •The director can refuse, revoke, or suspend a licence if needed.
  • •Not writing a recommendation can get the licence taken away.
  • •Lying in a written recommendation is also a reason to lose the licence.
  • •Not following any rules from this chapter or the agricultural commissioner can lead to suspension.
  • •Failing the required exam or acting unprofessionally can cause the licence to be revoked.

Example

A farmer asks an adviser for help with a pest problem, but the adviser only gives a verbal tip and never writes down the recommendation.

Because the adviser didn’t put the advice in writing, the director can suspend the adviser’s license under this law.
