§ 11735 Pest Control Operator Discipline

The law lets the commissioner stop or pause a pest‑control business’s license if the equipment is bad, the workers aren’t trained, or the business breaks pesticide rules.

Key Takeaways

  • •The commissioner can refuse, revoke, or suspend a pest‑control operator’s registration.
  • •Reasons include unsuitable equipment, incompetent or unqualified operators, and not following pesticide laws or orders.
  • •Both current license holders and new applicants are covered.

Example

A pest‑control company uses a spray machine that leaks chemicals and hires workers who never learned how to handle pesticides safely.

Because the gear is unsafe and the staff aren’t qualified, the commissioner can suspend the company’s registration until they fix the problems.
