§ 15154 County Public Assistance Reporting

Key Takeaways

  • •Counties must send reports to the state about how much money they spent on public assistance (like helping people with food or money).
  • •The state checks these reports to make sure everything is correct.
  • •If the state approves the report, the county gets credit for the money they spent, which helps them pay back any money the state gave them earlier.

Example

If a county spends $100,000 on food stamps for people in need, they have to tell the state about it.

The state will check the county’s report. If everything looks good, the county gets $100,000 credited to them, which helps pay back any money the state gave them before.
