§ 15000 Public Assistance Warrant Labels

Key Takeaways

  • •Checks for people getting public help can't have words like 'aid' or 'welfare' on them.
  • •The checks can use secret codes that only government workers understand, but not the public.
  • •This is to keep things private for people who need help.

Example

A person gets a check from the government to help pay for food.

The check won't say 'welfare' or 'aid' on it. It might have a code like '12345' that only the government knows means it's for food help.
