§ 9017 District Compensation Use Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •If a district gets money for things like fixing land or managing water, they have to use it to pay off old bills first.
  • •The money can't be used for new stuff until the old bills are paid.
  • •This rule is for special districts that handle water or land fixes.

Example

A small town has a district that fixes flood problems. They get $10,000 from the government to help with repairs.

Before they can buy new equipment, they must use that $10,000 to pay off old bills they still owe.
