§ 9012 District Compensation Excess Payment

Key Takeaways

  • •If the money given to a district is more than what the landowners paid, the extra money goes to the district.
  • •This rule is about making sure the district gets the right amount of money, not too much or too little.
  • •The district keeps the extra money if there's any left after paying back the landowners.

Example

Imagine a small town where everyone pays $10 each to fix the roads. The town gets $150 from the government to help fix the roads.

If the town only needed $100 to fix the roads, the extra $50 goes to the town to use for other things like parks or schools.
