§ 8777 Assessor Oath Requirements

• •Assessors must promise they don't own or have a stake in any land in the drainage district they're working in.
• •They must swear to do their job as assessor as well as they can.
• •This promise is made before they start working.

If John is hired to decide how much people should pay for a new drainage system in his town.

John must promise he doesn’t own any land in that area and will do his job fairly. If he owns land there, he can’t be the assessor.
