§ 2046 Reference Expense Waiver

Key Takeaways

  • •If you don't complain about a cost or how it's split, you can't complain later.
  • •You have to speak up right away if you think something is unfair.
  • •If you stay quiet, it's like you're okay with it.

Example

You and your friends go out to eat, and the bill comes. The waiter splits it evenly, but you only had a salad while your friends had steak and lobster.

If you don't say anything about the bill being split unfairly at the time, you can't later say it wasn't fair. You have to speak up then or you're stuck with it.
