§ 98141 General Manager Removal Authority

Key Takeaways

  • •The board can fire the general manager if most of them agree.
  • •The board can't cut the general manager's pay unless most of them agree.
  • •If most of the board agrees to fire or cut pay, it's final and can't be changed.

Example

A company's general manager keeps making bad decisions, and the board wants to fire him.

The board can vote to fire the general manager, but they need more than half of them to agree. If they do, the general manager is out, and that's the end of it.
