§ 738 Utility Claim Accrual Rules

• •If you have a problem with a service or product from a public utility (like electricity or water), you can complain or make a claim once it’s delivered or the service is done.
• •You can use the remedies (ways to fix the problem) listed in Sections 734 to 737, plus any other remedies available if the utility doesn’t follow the rules.
• •This law is about when you can take action—it starts when the service is done or the product is delivered.

Your electricity bill is way higher than it should be, and the power company won’t fix it.

You can complain or make a claim as soon as you get the bill. If the company doesn’t follow the rules, you can use the remedies in Sections 734 to 737 or other ways to fix the problem.
