§ 16648 County Assessment Adoption

Key Takeaways

  • •The board can choose to use the county's property value checks for their own taxes.
  • •If they choose to do this, they must make it official with a special rule.
  • •They have to send a copy of this rule to the county money checkers.

Example

Imagine your neighborhood wants to build a new park and needs money for it.

Instead of checking how much each house is worth themselves, they can use the county's checks. They just need to make a rule saying they'll do this and tell the county about it.
