§ 16113 Public Utility General Managers

Key Takeaways

  • •If a district runs more than one public service (like water and electricity), they can hire a boss for each one.
  • •Each boss only takes care of their own service, not all of them.
  • •This helps keep things organized when the district has lots of services to manage.

Example

A city runs both the water company and the trash pickup service.

The city can hire one boss just for the water company and another boss just for the trash service. That way, each boss can focus on their own job.
