§ 14381 City Annexation Utility Exclusion

• •This only happens if the city already provides water or electricity to the new land.

A small town grows and adds nearby farmland to the town. The town already gives water to the farms.

The town can say, 'Since we already give you water, we don’t need the special water district to handle it anymore.'
