Key Takeaways

  • •The board decides what jobs are needed and how much they pay.
  • •The board can also get rid of jobs if they want.
  • •Most of the time, the general manager picks who gets the job, but they have to follow the rules for hiring.

Example

The board will decide how many new road workers to hire and how much to pay them. They might also decide to get rid of some old jobs that aren't needed anymore. The general manager will then pick who gets these new jobs, but they have to follow the hiring rules.
