§ 10106 Department Project Jurisdiction Definitions

This law tells you what the word “Department” means and who the “Director” is for different kinds of projects.

Key Takeaways

  • •The word “Department” changes depending on what kind of project it is.
  • •Each listed department has its own director who is called the “Director.”
  • •If a project doesn’t fit any of the special departments, it falls under the Department of General Services.

Example

A new bike path is being built by the Department of Transportation.

Because the project is about transportation, the law says “Department” means the Department of Transportation and the “Director” is the head of that department.
