§ 10101 Contracts Excluded From Chapter

This law says that certain contracts are left out of this chapter: buying supplies under Chapter 2 (even if the seller does a little extra work) and hiring emergency help to stop a toxic spill.

Key Takeaways

  • •Contracts for buying supplies under Chapter 2 are excluded, even if the seller does extra work.
  • •Contracts for emergency work to stop or clean up a toxic spill are also excluded.
  • •The rule keeps these special contracts out of the normal rules of this chapter.

Example

A town orders concrete for a new sidewalk under Chapter 2, and the concrete company also helps spread the concrete on site.

Because the purchase is for supplies under Chapter 2, the contract is not covered by this chapter, even though the seller does some extra work.
