§ 1198 District Board Initial Meeting

The board first elected in any district shall hold its first meeting in the meeting room of the board of supervisors commencing at ten o'clock a.m. on the first Monday following the date of declaration by the board of supervisors of the result of the special election at which the board was elected. The board shall elect one of its members president, and shall elect a secretary, and shall provide for the time and place of holding meetings and the manner in which special meetings may be called. The board may establish rules for proceedings of the board. (Enacted by Stats. 1935, Ch. 389.)
