§ 80970 Department General Services Proceedings

Key Takeaways

  • •The Department of General Services must follow certain rules when they have meetings or make decisions about demands they send to people.
  • •Some special rules about evidence (like what can be used to prove something) apply to these meetings.
  • •If you get a demand from them, you can show your own evidence, and they have to look at it before making a decision.

Example

If the Department of General Services sends you a letter saying you owe them money for something, like damaging state property.

You can go to their meeting and show proof, like photos or receipts, to explain why you don’t owe the money. They have to listen to your evidence before deciding what to do.
