§ 44344 Emissions Inventory Update Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •Factories and businesses must check and update their pollution lists every 4 years.
  • •They have to use the newest and best ways to measure pollution.
  • •They must include new info about dangerous stuff that can hurt people or the environment.

Example

A big factory makes cars and uses chemicals that can pollute the air.

Every 4 years, the factory must check again how much bad stuff it’s putting in the air. If scientists find new ways to measure pollution or new bad chemicals, the factory has to use that new info in their check.
