§ 43660 Vehicle Emission Control Review

Key Takeaways

  • •This law is about checking if old cars (from 1966 to 1970) need a special part to stop bad air from coming out of their exhaust.
  • •The state has to check if this rule really helps keep the air clean and if it’s worth the money.
  • •They had to tell the government what they found by January 1, 1984.

Example

If you own a 1968 car, the state checks if the rule about adding a special part to your car’s exhaust is actually helping the air stay clean.

The state looks at whether making old cars have this part is a good idea or if it’s too expensive for not enough benefit.
