§ 2067 County Lien Revenue Distribution

Key Takeaways

  • •If a county gets money from a special claim on someone's property (like unpaid bills for work done on their house),
  • •that money has to go to the local district, not the county.
  • •This doesn’t apply to money collected under a different rule (Section 29304).

Example

A county fixes a broken sidewalk in front of your house but you don’t pay the bill. The county puts a claim on your house to get the money.

When the county finally gets the money from you, they can’t keep it—they have to send it to the local district (like a school or water district).
