§ 13050 Mutual Fire Protection Agreements

Key Takeaways

  • •Firefighters and their equipment can help in other cities or areas if the boss there says it's okay.
  • •They can also help outside city or town limits if needed.
  • •This is about sharing fire trucks and firefighters to stop fires, not just staying in their own area.

Example

A big forest fire starts near a small town, but the town doesn’t have enough fire trucks or firefighters.

The firefighters from a nearby city can come help, even if it’s outside their usual area, as long as the town’s leader agrees. They bring their trucks and tools to put out the fire and keep people safe.
