§ 12633 Emergency Signaling Device Registration

• •If you make or sell emergency signaling devices (like fire alarms), you must register each type with the State Fire Marshal.
• •You have to pay a fee when you first register and every year after that to keep it registered.
• •The State Fire Marshal decides how much the fee is.

A company makes a new type of smoke detector and wants to sell it in the state.

Before they can sell it, they must fill out a form for the State Fire Marshal and pay a fee. They have to do this every year for as long as they want to keep selling that smoke detector.
