§ 11586 Owner Bond Abatement Release

Key Takeaways

  • •If you own a building that has a problem (like a nuisance), you can get it back if you pay all the fees and promise to fix the problem and keep it fixed for a year.
  • •You have to show the court you're serious about fixing the problem and won't let it happen again.
  • •Even if you get your building back, you still have to pay any fines or penalties that were already decided.

Example

Imagine you own a store, but people keep complaining about loud noise coming from it at night.

If the court says your store is a nuisance, you can get it back by paying all the fees, promising to stop the noise, and making sure it stays quiet for a year. But you still have to pay any fines the court already gave you.
