§ 11379 Controlled Substance Transportation Sales

Key Takeaways

  • •It's illegal to sell, give away, or move certain drugs (like some prescription medicines) without a doctor's permission.
  • •Moving these drugs from one county to another far away county can get you in even more trouble.
  • •Even helping someone else do this is against the law.

Example

If you give your friend some of your prescription painkillers because they say they need them, even if you're trying to help.

This is against the law because you're giving away a controlled drug without a doctor's permission. You could go to jail for 2 to 4 years.
