§ 113255 Low Acid Frozen Food Packaging

Key Takeaways

  • •Frozen food with low acid must look different from regular canned food.
  • •The package should make it clear it's not the usual non-perishable canned stuff.
  • •This helps people know they need to keep it frozen.

Example

You buy a can of frozen soup at the store.

The can must look different from regular soup cans so you know it needs to stay frozen and isn't shelf-stable.
