§ 112525 Frozen Food Locker Standards

Key Takeaways

  • •Frozen food locker plants must have floors, walls, and ceilings that are easy to clean and keep sanitary.
  • •Lockers in these plants must protect the food inside from getting dirty, spoiled, or damaged.
  • •If a locker has holes in the bottom, it must have a solid tray or liner to keep food safe.

Example

A frozen food locker plant has lockers with holes in the bottom, and no trays or liners are provided.

This is against the law because the lockers must have a solid tray or liner to protect the food from contamination or damage.
