§ 111380 Drug Labeling Compliance

Key Takeaways

  • •If a medicine says it's a real, known drug, it must be packed and labeled the right way.
  • •You can change how it's packed, but only if the government says it's okay.
  • •If it's not packed or labeled right, it's breaking the rules.

Example

You buy a cough syrup that says it's a famous brand, but the bottle looks different and has no instructions.

This cough syrup is breaking the rules because it's not packed or labeled the right way, even if it says it's a real drug.
