§ 111345 Drug Labeling Conspicuity Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •Labels on drugs or medical devices must be clear and easy to read.
  • •Important information can't be hidden or hard to find on the label.
  • •The words must be easy for regular people to understand when they buy or use the product.

Example

You buy a painkiller at the store, and the label has tiny, light-gray text about side effects mixed in with big, colorful ads.

This is against the law because the important warnings aren't clear or easy to read. They should stand out so you can see them right away.
