§ 110355 Department Consumer Protection Regulations

Key Takeaways

  • •The government can make rules to stop people from being tricked when buying food, medicine, or makeup.
  • •These rules help you compare prices and know what you're really buying.
  • •The rules are only for things not already covered by other laws.

Example

A store sells a juice box labeled '100% Orange Juice' but it's actually only 50% orange juice.

The government can make a rule to stop this trick. The store must tell the truth on the label so you know what you're buying.
