§ 106660 Environmental Health Specialist Trainee

This law lets someone who has the right school background but not enough work experience apply to become a trainee environmental health specialist, as long as they fill out the right form and pay the fees.

Key Takeaways

  • •You must have the education listed in Section 106635.
  • •You don’t need the work experience if you’re applying to be a trainee.
  • •You have to use the department’s form and include the required fees.
  • •The department must accept a complete application with the fee.

Example

Jane has a college degree in environmental health but has never worked in the field. She wants to start a career, so she fills out the department’s application form and sends the required fee.

Because Jane meets the education rule in Section 106635, she can apply to be a trainee even though she lacks experience. The department must accept her complete application with the fee.
